About Hill's Harvest and
Thirty years ago Jake's Farm in Loveland was
raising vegetables with the largest producer being corn. Jake began his
debut to the public and opened a produce stand at his farm. Beginning
small, it quickly grew just as the summer corn. A wide variety of
vegetables were taken from the field and became harvest for our tables.
In the fall the fields turned orange from the vast rows of pumpkins. Children along with their parents were able to pick the right pumpkin for their Halloween decorations. Jake's Farm offered bales of straw, gourds and corn stalks which allowed the families to create their own arrangements. Pie pumpkins were also grown for the multitude of preservationists who stocked up for the holidays and the winter months ahead.
In the summer of 2004, Hill's Harvest opened in the Thornton area where neighbors could finally enjoy the same goodness of fresh vegetables that Jake's Farm provided and those Vegetables that we grow here at Hill's Harvest.
Fruits native to Colorado; peaches, apple varieties, cherries, pears, and apricots are trucked in from the Western Slope each week to allow the freshness of the harvest to over-power the products of other states. At Hill's Harvest, we have our own line of All Natural Fruit Preserves. The last week of July or first week of August we start selling and roasting Chili peppers, the Pumpkins will be available in September. Looking out over the houses always reminds a person of any age there is a land. A land that causes the streets to succumb to the green belt or a farm that is situate between. We meet the needs of our neighbors by providing healthy and fresh alternatives to seasonal cuisine. Take the opportunity to live healthy and stay healthy by eating fresh fruits and vegetables.
Our goal is to bring the taste of fresh fruits and vegetables to your table from our farm.
